How does lead distribution feature work?

Lead distribution feature is used for manual mass assignment of leads or automated assignment of Http posted leads, one at a time. You can create distribution plans to assign the leads to users in different teams and roles.

To create a distribution plan, go to Administration > Leads Distribution. Click on New Plan. Enter Plan Name and select Type, Team and Assignee Role. Under Plan Details, add users and assign ratios to them. The higher the ratio, the higher the chance of the user to get assigned to a lead.

Keep in mind that the distribution system is a probabilistic system (not deterministic). So a user with ratio of 3 has 3 times more chance of receiving a new lead, than a person with ratio of 1. The order of case assignments is not guaranteed.

“Mass” type plans can be used for mass distribution of leads by manually triggering them from case filter Actions.  “Http Post” type plans can be used to distribute your Http posted leads, one at a time, automatically, as they come in. You just need to add below parameter to your Http Post URL:
