To meet A2P messaging industry standards, we are updating how SMS is sent from the CRM. These changes take effect the weekend of September 5, 2026. Please review the items below and take any action needed before that date.
What's Changing
1. Company information required in SMS content
All SMS messages sent through the CRM must include identifiable company information — specifically, your company name — inside the message body. This applies to all users in your organization and to all SMS sent through the platform.
- If your templates already include your company name, no action is required.
- If they do not, the system will automatically append your company name to keep the message compliant.
2. Opt-in process has changed
The way end clients give consent to receive SMS has been updated:
- Previous process: A CRM user could select the opt-in button and start sending SMS to the end client.
- New process: When a user clicks the opt-in button, the system emails the end client at their registered email address. The end client must open that email and follow the instructions to grant consent before any SMS can be delivered to them.
- Impact on Public API: The option to pass the opt-in parameter through our public APIs will be removed. Consent must be collected through the process described above.
